Just curious how many countries you have lived in. The USA, believe it ot not, is totally irrelevant to most people in the world. It has 5% of the world's population. Asia has the most people . There are 3 million Asians in Japan, topping any number of English speaking people. Japan simply doesn't need to pay any attention to .2% of their population

They don't care. They aren't interested. They don't want to. They are not driven to make money the way Amercans are. What is it you don't understand about that?

I have lived in America, 2 countries in Africa, 5 in Europe, 2 in the UK, and am currently living in Ireland. I have also visited many other countries.

Countries that speak other languages expext (and sometimes demand) that one learns to speak their language. They most certainly are not going to cater to foreign nationals living in their country. They don't care about the money. It's a pittance.
