I've thought a lot about this through the years. It's a load of bullarkey. If people have money, they generally inerited it (Thomas Piketty Capital in the 21st century). One doesn't risk anything when one buys property. The property remains one's own, and the wealthiest people all own property - lots of it.

Property ownership should be forbidden. People are only allowed to keep their homes for the duration of their lifetimes. They will pay a small fee to the government (who will build homes), and that's that.
