I've made quite a few comments here. In 2021, I was in the top 1000 writers on Medium - according to Medium. I'm not sure where I am now because Medium no longer says who the top writers are.

However, I can tell you some things in general.

As a published writer for some 62 years, writing has nothing to do with personal growth, passion, feelings, etc. It is an intellectual process in which a writer uses skill and talent to be able to keep the attention of readers.

Luck has a great deal to do with success, and while some people will game the system successfully at certain points, it never lasts. The good writers earn for a life time. The people who gamed the system eventually disappear.
