I've long forgotten the number of people who have approached me to ghostwrite a book for them - gratis, of course. I will then get 1% or 5% of 10% of their takings.

The absurdity of that totally blows my mind. They tell me, when I object, that it's easy. At which point I ask they why they don't write it, only to be met with the words "I can't write..."
