It's occurred to me that the first set of $500s that were paid out by Ev Williams was to writers who didn't write about those topics. He wanted to revert Medium to the serious magazine it used to be. Now it's full of nonsense - self help articles, and articles about how to write, written by people who cannot write. So, sorry, I agree with the editor.
