It's not about competition.

I just don't see the need to repeat all my conclusions all the time. It's frustrating and boring. You don't honestly believe that this is the first time I have had this conversation, do you?

It comes up with libertarians and conservatives all the time. It is just a waste of my time to write the same thing over and over again.

For you, it may be a different conversation. For me, it's the same conversation.

Also, reading is far better. There are a million books out there on the topic. I read books in order to learn - I don't enjoy conversations on serious topics. It's not how I learn. I learn through reading 60 or 70 books from different perspectives on a topic.
