It's Google that sends traffic to Medium. Hubpages has been going for about 15 years. Nobody has heard of it either. Readers aren't meant to hear about which site there are articles on. If the article is good enough, it will rank on Medium), and if the reader likes it, they will join.

I have new readers join through my articles ever month, so I know that they do join. I'm not promoting anything.
