It wasn't a compliment. I just couldn't believe that someone could be so misguided.
The last thing that Twitter was, was equitable. It was run by a bunch of spoilt, ignorant brats who had never experienced any sort of hardship in their lives. Have you looked at the 'a Day in the working Life of a Twitter worker' on Youtube?
If you look through my magazine 'World Issues, there is no doubt whatsoever that I am on the left. Yet, I was banned repeatedly for this comment and that. So were friends.
If you read through the files that Matt has released, Twitter couldn't be bothered to respond to the 'little people,' the people who had very few followers. They used bots to pick up words, and if you used those words, regardless of context, they banned you for 5 days.
They sent you an automated response saying you had been banned for 'breaking the rules.' If you queried it, there was no human at the other end - just another bot replying after a day (very clever), that you broke the rules.
One astrophysicist who posted a picture of a meteor field was banned for banned, because it was supposedly 'porn.' For three months, she struggled to ask them to reinstate her account, saying over and over again, the picture was of an asteroid belt.
She was then asked (automated) to sign an admission that she had published porn. As she was a scientist at a university she refused - for the simple reason that it would be on her record and it was not porn.
It was only after the story was published in a newspaper, and Musk saw it, that it was reinstated.
23% of Americans follow Twitter, and 4.75% of the rest of the world. Of that, only 10% are responsible for 80% of the tweets. The one thing it is NOT, is representative of anyone but a small minority. And the last thing it is, is equitable.

I am appalled at the lack of rationality displayed by the outrage at two liberal/progressive journalists accurately reporting what happened. I read it through several times. It explains why many of my leftist friends and I were repeated banned.
Included in the fact was that if you were banned once, the Twitter bott upped the pace - five warnings, and you were banned for life. There was nothing equitable about this.
On top of that, they responded to all government requests, on every level, to shut down various tweets. The Hunter Biden story was true - I'm not living in America, and the story was run, with videos and pictures. When I tried to explain that, I was called a conservative and that it was a lie, just trying to get Biden to lose the election.
The fact that what Biden's son did had nothing to do with his father seems to have passed the illiterati by.
I have never liked Elon Musk. I also never liked Trump or Bill or Hillary Clinton. I didn't like any of them because none of them had any ethics. They were and are all, in my opinion, ruled by a lust for power and money, and many of their policies hurt a lot of people. For instance, Bill Clinton's policies destroyed the social welfare system in the USA.
So my understanding that relevance of what has been released has nothing to do with being a conservative. It has to do with the fact that I'm rational, impartial, highly experienced reader who can read the writing on the wall.
The fact that the people who supported the last regime now call two respectable journalists who they adored previously 'conservative' and selling out' reveals just how much what they say should not be trusted.
