It only hurts people who are driven by ego. When one has been beaten to the degree that no ego develops, and when one is autistic, sadly, there is no ego. It didn't develop. I was pointing out something factual - that for my entire life, famous authors, book publishers, editors, readers have told me I'm a damned good writer.
