It is not an excuse.
It is not the job of a writer, and I am a professional writer, to debate readers. Where do you ger that idea from? Do you think when the New York Times writes an editorial that the editor then debates the readers?
Nor am I interested in debate. I write for people who are aligned to my ideas and perspectives. All media does that. For instance, Fox broadcasts to conservatives while the Guardian caters to those on the left. No publication has any obligation to debate its critics. If you don’t like Fox news, you switch it off, and you find another channel.
You appear to think that just because you can comment, and just because you disagree with me, I am obliged to argue with you.
I suggest you go find things to read that pleases you. Nobody is obliged to waste their time defending their points against someone who has a problem with what they say.
