It always amazes me how I missed all this stuff. Then, again, music was nothing but an occasional backdrop for me. Hippies were very strange people. Jim Hendrix and Janis Joplin were bizarre. Woodstock was strange. Some of the music in the early 70s was nice, but still just background music.
I never understood why I would listen to the words of music when I could read a book instead, and the books made s much more sense.
I was always out of touch with people my age. They never made sense to me. I wasn't searching for anything, and I never understood their need to make things ugly for the sake of experimentation.
