Israel is not fighting about religion. Most Jews are secular. The Jihadi are fighting because the Koran instructs them as follows:

1. Once a land has been taken for Islam, it can never be allowed to have any other religiin.
2. Kill all Jews, in both Israel and in the world.
3. Then offer for Christians and others to live under Sharia law. If they won't, then kill them.

This is why the Jihadi keep shouting Alluha Ackbar when they kill and rape. These actions are a fulfilment of what the Koran demands.

Israel, on the other hand, just wants to survive in safety. She can't do that when she is surronded by Jihadi intent on destroying her. Her goal is to destroy the Jihadi - not take the land or destroy people.

Can you explain to me how proportionality proves it's a religious war? It doesn't.
