Is one really a leader when one is taught all these techniques 'to lead?' This, to me, isn't leadership. Real leadership is about leading people to safety, to survive, etc. It is something human being seems to have forgotten.

What is being taught here is how to manage people for one's own benefit. This isn't leadership.
