Interesting selection. I found most of these books incredibly boring - it's as if the author thinks I'm so stupid and so ignorant that I'm unaware of all these issues.

The exceptions are Lord of the Rings which used to be one book (no idea why it has been broken into three now). Harry Potter was okay but I stopped reading the series when Rowling killed one of her main characters.

To Kill a Mockingbird

I will never underestand why it is necessary for authors to 'educate' their readers when I would so much rather read to escape reality. :)
