Interesting read.

I have never built relationships at work and never wanted to build relationships at work. My life is not about doing work so that some idiot can make a profit. I have always just worked in order to make enough money to live.

That said, for the most part, I always had the highest figures in the office, did the most work, out performed everybody else, sometimes doing three times the amount of work/business other people did.

Was this good enough for company managers?

Of course not. What they wanted was to control me, to have me in submissiin to their power, toconfide in them, to want me to open up at company lunches and functions (which I hated).

I don't believe for one moment that ine cannot do one's work remotely. I do believe that because one cannot infkuence one's workers remotely, tbe company might not profit in the longer term.

I have no time for human beings who pursue profit.
