Interesting. I have been back in my native South Africa fot nearly 6 years now, but will not make the full 6 years as I wm returning to the EU in the next few months.

Very little of the money that is made by international corporations remains in South Africa. There is a massive capital flight in the country, and it has been taking place for many decades. This can be said for most countries in Africa.

As for safaris — particularly rich white Americans who come shoot our lions and rhino and elephants, fuck them 10 times over — and fuck the game ranch owners who make many millions from this industry.

I have had the privilege of traveling far and wide — not as a rich tourist, but simply because I relocate to different countries and continents. And once I get there, ai stick around and travel by bus and train to other places. For example, living in San Diego, it was east to get to Tijuana in Mexico, or living in Andulacia in Spain, it was easy to bus to most of the province while living there. I always tried to leave a very small footprint. And, of course, I worked in these countries.

Tourism destroys a lot. I am not fond of it, and while I feel the agony of many of my friends who have lost money and businesses, I see a bigger picture.

We need to change many of our habits, and we need to stop kowtowing to those with deep pockets.
