In the industry, we call it a content writing site. I've written on many - starting with Associated Content in about 1999, I think. I'm still on Hupbages which started about 10 or 12 years ago.

A content writing site differs from a blog as people write on it in order to make a living. Generally, only the top 5% earn. That's because one not only needs to be a skilled writer, but one needs to understand algorithms, SEO, etc.
