I'm sorry that you have that boundary to cross. I joined at the end of March 2020, and by the end of March 2021, had somewhere between 600 and 680 followers. Can't remember the exact number. Basically works out to about 50 new followers every month.

I think the best way to get new followers is write kick-ass articles which are not about writing and make intelligent comments on other people's articles.
