I'm primarily a reader. I read a book a day and have done so for 63 years. I also read for a good 5 hours a day - sometimes throughout the night. As a reader, I have to tell you that by presenting me the constant articles on how to write, you annoy the hell out of me. As a reader, I can assure you that I have no interest in learning how to write - nor does any other reader.

I also have comments from my readers that they have to actively search for my stories. That shouldn't be necessary as they are following me.

In addition to that, you make 'recommended articles'' to be the default setting for what to read, instead of who people are following. Sometimes I just click on the writing advice articles to see what nonsense people are now advocating. With respect, as a writer who has been published for something like 60 years on three contienents, I do have some knowledge as to how to write.

Perhaps it might be time to revisit Ev Williams original plan for this site - to write articles for readers - not for writers.
