I'm not sure what you're implying. The piece is a rebuttal in a covnersation I've been having for the last few days with another writer on Medium. Nothing was said about the pope or Canada.

Nor does the general history of the church or world history mention much of Canada. Every child is taught about the Crusades, the Atzecs, the Holocaust, and the Inquisition - in Europe and the countries that used to belong to the UK.

As to the pope visiting Canada, I was unaware of that. I don't particularly read Canadian news. I'm in Ireland.
