I'm not sure what you are saying. I earn a living here. Not a chance in hell that I would use Medium to take readers elsewhere. By the same token, I only read on Medium, and I won't read on Substack or anywhere else. If I want to read something else, I can read South China Morning Post, the Guardian, Daily Maily, Der Spiegel, France 24, WION, and a thousand other sites.
