I'm not quite sure whether to be insulted at your presumption that I wouldn't know what NASA or NOAA was or whether to be amused.
Before you presume to lecture me, I started reading up about this stuff in 1970 after reading Rachel Carson's book, Silent Spring. During my school days, I read between 2 and 4 books a day (and I was well ahead of my age), and since then, I have read a book a day. I also read for a good 5 hours every day, news sources around the world, science abstracts daily to see what is happening, and more. I lived in the States for 11 years, 7 countries in the EU, and 2 in Africa. I have also traveled extensively.
My daughter, incidentally worked for NASA teaching kiddies science and my late father witnessed the first rocket science experiments in Berlin in the 30s. He was at the university Einstein taught at. My late father was also president and/or chairman of both the engineering society and the astronomical society for most of his life.
I'm telling you this because I don't appreciate been spoken to as if I don't know anything.
You speak as if Native Americans are the only kind of indigenous people in the world. I hail from Africa. I have traveled to a good few countries, and I can give you a 100% guarantee that they do not have better practices than Europeans. Zimbabwe is a ruin, as are many other African countries.
For the record, America has 5% of the world's population. You appear to think that American culture represents that of the rest of the world.
You said, "Whenever plants photosynthesize, they take carbon dioxide and water with energy from the sun to manufacture carbohydrates; they retain about 2/3 of the liquid carbon for themselves, their biomass."
You are seriously joking. I learnt that in science classes in the 60s. I did 7 years of science - chemistry, physics, and biology. You're speaking to me as if I have no understanding of climate change or of the science behind it.
You said, "Yes, we can stop climate change and live together in harmony."
Yes, we can, but we won't. We won't because most people will not work together with other people. Most people are more interested in their own accumulation than anything else. Most people have no concept of what is happening, and it is only when one of the major cities burns or is destroyed in some way that the power of the planet will become apparent.
I also want you to tell me how China, Russia, India, the Middle East Nations, etc. are all going to work together. This isn't about technology. This is about the sheer stupidity of the human race.
I, for one, agree with Einstein. "There are only two things that are infinite, and that is human stupidity and the universe, and I'm not sure about the latter."
