I'm not quite sure at what point copy writing came to be seen as a writer, but until fairly recently, it wasn't.

Writers were authors, journalists, playwrights, screenwriters, but they did not write for business. I certainly don't see copywriters as writers.

And, yes, people who boast 6 figures and sell courses are making money from selling courses. No successful author sells courses.

I've been published since 1962. Never did a writing course in my life.
