I'm giving up on non-fiction. I think the world has become too distressing for me. Also, whether it's woke or alt-right, both are filled with hatred, and rationality plays no part. It doesn't help me that the Medium editors swing with woke. So I'm hardly writing non-fiction anymore. I'm more or less done.
I've switched back to fiction after a 10 year break.

The fiction serial I am currently writing on Medium at the moment has about 10 regular readers. It does, however, serve a role. It keeps me writing a chapter ever second day, because that is what I committed to.
Marketing involves loading to Smashwords and Google Play free. Then putting a link into Medium where those who want to follow the story can read 'free.' Of course, after three chapters, they have to pay to join Medium.
