I'm curious how your life improved after not having social media.

I keep in touch with my friends across the world through social media. Maybe, I will only pop in for 5 minutes a day, but it's an essential part of my life. I don't see it harming me.

Likewise Twitter. That's, however, for a slgihtly different reason. I want to see what people are talking about.

I tried instagram once or twice, but could see nothing about it that I liked. I have no interest in posting photos of my life or telling people what I'm doing all day long, and nor am I interested in what other people are doing all day long.

I think the real issue is not social networking. I think the real issue is the lack of interests and hobbies people have - also their obsession with comparing themselves to other people.

I couldn't care less what other people are doing or in what they have. So it doesn't affect me. It only affects those people who do care. And that's the real root of the problem.
