I'm curious how many alternative medicine books you have read. I went through a period in the 90s where I read hundreds of these books. They are bestsellers in America. Take Deepak Chopra, for instance. The mind is a cure for everything. Louise Hay is another one. Illness is all in your head.

Then take Naomi Klein and her book 'The Shock Doctrine." Since then, everything that is a natural disaster, etc. is an excuse for government to remove civil rights. If you go to facebook and read the bullshit there on this woman's site, you will see where a lot of this comes from.

So, sorry, you're wrong. You don't understand the bullshit that Americans have been fed for the past 150 years. I recently wrote an article naming some of those books and where that mindset comes from...
