I'm curious about that. I think leadership (in business and other things, these days, tends to be more like parenting.
Leadership, to me, is different to parenting, and I see very few leaders, if any, these days.
Politicians, for instance, aren't leaders. They are public servants - all pandering to what the public wants. That's they way they get votes.
Business management and CEOs, on the other hand, manipulate people to do what they need to be done, in order to make profits.
Leadership, defined the way it is in the animal kingdom, is leading the herd to safety, making sure that all the animals in the herd are safe and well fed.
Even in the earlier days of humanity, the tribal leader made the decisions about what was good for the tribe - that does not happen anymore.
I think we are sorely in need of leadership.
