I would go with you on some of this. | suppose I would question why you would write about family matters anonymously rather than just remain quiet about them.

I would also ask why being unable to confront someone was any less a moral failing than gossip|?

I suppose, in my case, after years of public abuse, general unfairness from the rule makers, etc. I just don't care anymore. They must do what they must do, and I will stick to my code of ethics. I think I have also experienced so much hurt, defamation, libel, and outright lies at the hands of so many that if I touch on their personal brand of dishonesty, so be it.

Yes, most definitely, criticism of gossip is definitely blunt - in 2023. it wasn't in 1950. It wasn't through 2000 years of Christianity and through 3500 years of Judaism. It was accepted practice that one didn't gossip about other people.. I was definitely told during my school days that gossiping about others was bad form.

What was it Eleanor Roosevelt said?

Small people talk about other people.

Mediocre people talk about things.

Great people talk about ideas.
