I won't be renewing my paid subscription to Medium. The platform is oversubscribed with writers, and when 'writers' start telling other writers that they must read other writers in order to be read, then you know it's not worth writing there. Not for payment, anyway.

Try telling a writer for Cosmopolitan or the New Yorker that they must read the work of other writers in their respective magazines in order to be read.

I also have to say that I don' t like either the new blogging platform or the emphasis on publications. Someone has to devise an algorithm where pieces are presented to people who have shown a preferance for those pieces. For every 25 pieces that are shown to me on Medium, I will chose one to read.
