I was published by the time I was 10 years old. It wasn't difficult. I have never found writing difficult. I most certainly wouldn't do it if I found it difficult.

I only write when I feel like it. Fortunately, I have so many thoughts going through my head all the time that I am compelled to write.

In my day, there was no such thing as finding community. We wrote to earn a living. That was about it.

What do you mean that writing can be fickle?
