I was born and raised in Africa. And I moved to Germany 6 weeks ago from Cape Town. This is very different to the American experience. I'm used to walking in the veld. I'm used to sleeping rough I'm used to walking up mountains. Even at 70, I'm okay with sleeping on the floor, etc.
I don't know anybody who goes hunting for food when they can actually buy it. I suspect that those things they talk about (and I may be wrong) that thse are almost status seeking - looking to the crowd for approval for being an alpha male.
A healthy outdoor activity is going hiking, climbing mountains, swimming, cycling, and all sorts of things. I, personally, do not see going hunting as a healthy outdoor activity. I don't know many Africans that do. And I'm talking about people born and raised in Africa.
