I think you're projecting your own values and education onto something that wasn't intended that way. The people who saw it as fantasy did not see it that way. As comedians point out today, you cannot say a thing without someone objecting.

So what if a show insults another country. I have lived in many countries. In all those countries, people from different countries insult other countries. It happens in real life all the time. I find it interesting that probably the bits that reflect reality (people deal in stereotypes and insulting others all the time) are not the pieces you like.

Have you honestly never heard people say something negative about America and Americans, about South Africa and South Africans, about Jews and Muslims and atheists? Of course they do. It's part of life.
