I think you're not starting early enough. For people to want superiority, they first need to feel inferiority. The problem is the earlier one that leads to the latter one.

The American right wing is equivalent to Nazis. They aren't individualists at all. They all chant the same song - freedom, no masks, must have guns, etc. They parrot each other with no ability to see themselves for what they are.
