I think you're missing something. It's not the general populace who should be arguing with Republicans. It's liberal politicians who should be on radio, television, etc. making speeches that convert people.

The problem is that there aren't any intelligent liberal politicians. They're all just saying what their supporters want them to say. I have yet to hear one stand up and speak to the nation and say "This is what we do. This is why we do it. And this is how we do it."
