I think you misread completely what I said. If you think this story is about Lily, then you, indeed, have. misunderstood what I have said.
She is only an example of a far deeper insanity that is eating up our world.
Unfortunately, a lot of what is happening is due to people being socialized in a way that conflicts with reality. One doesn't need draconian laws. One needs clear explanations to children as they are educated. And one needs parents who realize that if they tell kids that Father Christmas is coming, at some point the kids realize that it's a lie, and for the next twenty years, they pay little attention to what parents or adults are saying.
We keep repeating the cycle. We are not educating our young in the ways of wisdom. I define wisdom as the ability to extrapolate from current data to draw conclusions about medium to long term conclusions and to act in the best way (for both the person and the community)..
Regardless if we come up with a way of educating our young, there will always be people who fall between the cracks. I was one of them. So I know about it. Lily may well have been one of them, but I don't think so.
I do recall that she said that she's had a fascination with sex from the age of four years old. What does a four year old know about sex? I think you need to look deeper.
