I think there is a difference between controversial and extreme.

Being controversial would be "I don't agree with capitalism." It is controversial because it is in disagreement with the status quo. Being controversial does not mean that you do not provide evidence. Of course, you provide evidence.

Being extreme is something else. It is when you response to your fear of one spider is to make a poli cy to kill all the spiders in the world.

Being extreme might be to eliminate capitalism overnight. That is extreme.

Being controversial is not being extreme. I am often controversial. I will also tell you that over the years, I have proven right every single time.
