I think the one thing I'v elearnt is that it must either be an English speaking country, or it must have a strong English expat community.

Other than that, it must supply my needs - a place that I can afford to live, wifi, public transport, library, a heated swimming pool, and lots of city streets where I can walk for hours looking at very old buildings.

The people element has never intereted me. I don't socialize at all.
