I think that there is a lot of entitlement attached to many attitudes. I've just had someone argue with me for the past week because I would not put a link to his work or write an article about his work which, he was convinced, would save the world. He was doubly angry because academia wouldn't credit his 'work.'

I think that there is the presumption amongst many that a content writing site is the same thing as a social media site. I also think there is the presumption that people owe it to that to 'debate' them. The right of association appears to be forgotten. We are not forced to associate with those with whom we do not want to -for whatever reason. We are, however, to make all laws apply to everybody.

I don't submit to publications anymore. They never brought me any more readers, and mine are doing just fine. :)
