I think that depends whether one is a writer or not. I think it has become a lot worse. There are now too many 'aspiring writers' here who take up space, and they're all writing about writing. They irony is that none of them know a thing about writing, and they will never be writers.

Anyone who works on the web deals with algorithms. They are there in order to ensure that a) the company makes a profit and b) the best stuff gets to the top. They keep changing because there are always people who game the system.
