I think that depends on the person. I l obeyed everything I was taught. I have never been drunk. I have never taken a recreational drug. I have never done a lot of things I was told not to. It never occurred to me not to do as I was told.

It's also true that many people do listen to what they are told. I am fortunate enough to know a good many people who didn't make the mistakes so many others did - they had wise parents.
