I suspect that you're really responding to my comment that there is no such thing as an empath. What you have not responded to are the two main points of this essay - that empathy is not a good thing to base decisions on for the group or for mankind, and that empathy is not the cause of ethics.

In astrology (yes, I've studied a great man things), there is an interesting divide - those who focus their energy on the group/the many, and those who focus their energy on the individual. You sound like you focus your energy on the individual.
