I suggest if you're unhappy with your husband to leave him. Don't interpret other people's lack of interest in everybody as being self-involved. Self-involved people are constantly expecting the world to change to suit them.

Your husband isn't expecting the world to change to suit him. He is simply not that interested in the world around him to pay much attention to it. I've no doubt he has other interests.
