I said absolutely nothing about authoritarianism against democracy. What I said was that the Dems couldn't lead a charge in a winning fight because they were disorganized. I said that they didn't seem to realize what the ball was, where the ball was, and the purpose of the ball, even though they were given the ball.

The real battle here is an economic system. Both the Republicans and the power base of the Democrats are supporting that economic system. The bottom half of the Democrats are so focused on social issues that they can't see the monster in the system.

In other words, the Dems are going nowhere, and will never go anywhere, until they realize that they would be fighting the economic system. That's what workers used to do.
