I read those guidelines a while ago. A few years ago, I won top 1000 writers four months in a row. If you go to my 'about' section, I have posted a few reviews from 60 years worth of published writing. My writing has always been regarded as insightful. That said, some years ago, I was given several warnings by Medium, none of which (in my opinion) were warranted, and which had more to do with a particular bias than anything else, and I wonder if that has more to do with my current lack of reach than anything else.

I spent some years as an editor for two publishing houses in London, and I think it's fair to say that most of what I read on Medium I've read in the original. Or I've thought it. I read extensively, for at least five hours each day, and I read widely - books news sources from Europe, the UK, Africa, India, China, etc. I have also won many prizes for my writing, although that was in the past, and I've never really had any interest in promoting my writing.

I write for two reasons. The first is financial. The second is that I simply cannot stop. I was already writing inside my head before I went to school, and I couldn't wait to go to school in order to learn 'my letters' so that I could put what was going on inside my head on paper. When I submitted my first writing for publication at the age of 10, it was published. The tear sheets of my early writing are in my portfolio on the web.

I do realize that having Asperger's makes me see life differently, but my writing has always tried to bring wisdom, enlightenment, valid criticism and analysis. Sometimes, it has not been welcome because it goes against the status quo. Then, again, as a consequence of my late father, a Jewish journalist writing in Nazi Germany, and myself writing against apartheid in South Africa, i understand that saying unpopular things, is not always welcome.

I hope that voicing my opinion to you will not lessen my reach further. If nothing else, my 'about' section, should at least confirm my integrity.
