I met a 'gender critical feminist' in London a few weeks ago at the Hampstead women's only pool. It is one of the few places where females can bathe naked and be totally assured that they are safe. Some are rape victims.

They do not want trans women there. They specifically don't like the law that says people can self-identify. So a man can walk in, dressed in woman's clothin, claim to be female, and has to be let in.

That is their objection - that people can self-identify.

I sort of think that makes sense. There aer 'bad faith actors' as you say. When the law was made to self-identify, that was not taken into consideration.
