I learnt nothing. I don't think anyone I know learnt anything either. I was, however, disappointed that the winning articles were boring and not the kind of thing I would read.

I realized from reading several of the entries, and from the way the algorithm has changed focus that Medium is changing direction to become a site for writers - not for readers. The Atlantic left at the end of last month. Most of the good publications have now left Medium. I suspect it's because of the fall in traffic.

Medium has been bleading readers for a while now. I'm going to be changing direction as well. I don't think there's any other choice.
