I just read up what is required to enter a school for the gifted in the USA. It appears there is no test, and simply been a good student or having learnt to read or write before others means that one can enter a school for the gifted.

I have certainly found a lot of things in life bore me, but I have never found anything difficult to do. I grow bored with challenges simply because I don't see the point of them. I'm not interested in being better than other people or winning prices or status or anything else.

From what you've descruibed here, I don't see kids with high IQs. I see people being given a better education. Those are very different things.
