I intend to apply for Irish citizenship when I qualify. However, I'm not sure that I'm happy here. I think it may be that I'm living in Cork and cannot afford to live in Dublin. I am a big-city girl, and I find Cork boring. For me, accustomed to cities like London, Los Angeles, etc. it is difficult to live in a place where there is no opportunity to do the things I like to do.

I know from DNA tests that I'm 92% German/French, and 6 to 8% Irish/British. No idea where any of it comes from. My late father was German. My late mother was of French and Portuguese extraction.
