I have no idea where it comes from that Mohammed went to the Jews to ask them to set up a new religion, but there is little doubt historically that he was a rapist, a murderer, and someone who was keenly interested in wealth.

I've read (and studied) Torah, the Christian Bible, and Koran. There is a vast difference in perspective between the Koran and the other two. In the Judaic version, there are stories of what God instructed the Israelites to do (supposed history), but there are no direct commands for Jews in perpetuity to go out and rape, murder, plunder, and torture people other people.

In the Koran, these are the outright commands that anyone who is a Muslim kill, torture, murder, take as sex slaves anyone who is not a Muslim.

There is a vast difference between telling a story of what used to be, e.g. how god created the world, and how God commended Abraham to do this and that, and outright saying that forever more, anyone who is a Jew (or a Christian) goes out to murder others.

So, no, the Koran is a vile piece of literature. I suggest you read the texts of all three religions, as I have, before saying that they command people to do vile things equally - not even remotely.

What you think is of no consequence - until you have evidence of it.
