I have more than once written about this double standard.

Women want equal pay in the work place, but in the marriage bed, they want the man to earn more than they do. That's because they want to live off his money.

Women are constantly heaving their toys out of the perambulator but the biggest selling genre of all time is romantic fashion. In all romantic fiction, the guy is fabulous looking, has great muscle structure, is incredibly strong, and he is a billionaire to boot. Oh, and he is the leader.

The heroine in the story is beautiful, although I note that lately writers have beein saying 'He loved her curves - he didn't like skinny women." Plus she is always good at what she does, takes exception to him seeing her as having fewer or less equal skills, proves that she is a clever little girl, and now they're equal after all.

What poppy cock. And what a double standard.
